NATURAL EASE:
a 1-day retreat of MINDFULNESS and MOVEMENT AWARENESS

Lotus Centre, PARAPARAUMU
10am - 4.30pm
DATES to be confirmed

Experience more ease and vitality in your day-to-day life! Join me at the spacious Lotus Yoga studio in Paraparaumu, to explore and practise a more natural state of being. During the day we will explore mindfulness meditation and awareness through movement lessons to access the benefits of being fully present.

  • Replenish your energy and reduce anxiety

  • Unwind your mind and deeply relax your body

  • Disentangle yourself from patterns of over-thinking

  • Benefit from two guided movement awareness lessons that can improve your posture, awareness, and ease of movement

  • Wake up your awareness of your own body and tap into the power of the NOW!

  • Be inspired to build mindfulness practice into everyday life

Mindfulness is the art of being present, right here, right now, to whatever is happening, whether it is how we like things to be, or not. We take the time to stop and pay attention to our actual experience as we sit, move, or learn something new. When we do this our nervous system softens and we begin to see the habits of mind that get in the way of experiencing our original happiness, just through being.

The way we move and breathe has a profound effect on our quality of life. In this 1-day retreat, we include two mindfulness in movement lessons drawn from the work of Moshe Feldenkrais, and which are designed to free the body and create more ease of movement and posture. Because an easy and relaxed body assists us in meditation practice, the lessons are a wonderful adjunct to sitting (and walking) mindfulness practice.

Facilitator: Rachel Tobin
Times: 10am - 4.30pm
Cost: $105
Teas, coffees, morning tea and snacks will be provided. Please bring your own lunch.

In this retreat, mindfulness and movement awareness sessions , based on the work of Moshe Feldenkrais, omplement each other to promote balance, vitality and well being.

There is no religion, dogma or belief system proposed in this retreat. Emphasis is given not to theory, but to your own experience.

people say, about 1-day retreats:

“The day was quite possibly one of the most amazing personal experiences of my life! Thank you so much  for your generous spirit and skilful facilitation to allow us the space to practise being present over a whole day.... so precious. I have wanted to do a silent retreat for a very long time... and it was better than I could have imagined! I especially liked how the breaks were also in silence .... that was pure magic.”
- Jane F, Auckland, (1-day retreat at Vartamana)

"I'd highly recommend doing one of Rachel's mindfulness and qi gong courses. I came on the retreat feeling i needed to learn how to quieten my mind and deal with mental pressures of life. That happened, but as a bonus, my whole body felt stretched and awakened. I feel mentally and physically back in touch with life. Thank you."
